Ailis & Iliria get pissed about it
Iliria and I met on an old forum called Elftown. It was weird, wonderful, and then one day it was gone — along with years of stories, art, and people we loved.
Most moved on. I didn’t. Out of equal parts stubbornness and an art degree I decided to actually use, I built Mythralis.
This isn’t for everyone. It’s for the weirder souls — the artists, the roleplayers, the romantics who like their shadows dark and their stories dramatic. Think of it as social media, but with more velvet capes and fewer influencers.
So welcome. Sit down, join in, and please — don’t crash the site.
Once upon a time, before social media looked like an endless mall, there was a little corner of the internet called Elftown. That’s where Iliria and I met. It was weird, obscure, and full of people who’d rather write about dragons than do their homework. It was perfect.
And then — poof. Gone. The site crashed, and with it went years of writing, art, roleplays, and friendships. We lost not just our work, but entire little universes, and a few people we loved dearly. Watching it vanish was like someone torching the library of Alexandria, except nerdier and with more elf avatars and smut.
Most people moved on. I (Ailis) am not most people. I am stubborn and on occasion, very, very petty. So instead of crying into the void forever, I decided to put my degree work. If no one else was going to build us a place, I bloody well would. Thus, Mythralis was born.
Mythralis is not for everyone. It is for the weirder people on the planet. The storytellers, the artists, the roleplayers, the hopeless romantics who like their shadows a little darker and their forums a little moodier. It’s for the ones who never really fit into ordinary spaces, who thrive on strange ideas and beautiful nonsense.
This is our rebellion. Our sanctuary. Our social media, but with more velvet capes and fewer influencers selling toothpaste.
So, welcome. Pull up a chair. Stay as long as you like. Just don’t crash the site — we’ve been through that once already.
If I had to crawl to you, I would—without dignity, without pause, and without shame. Let the world laugh; laughter has never carried me the way your name does. I would drag myself to you, bleeding, breathless, broken, because life without you is the only humiliation I refuse to bear.
And I would do it again. Again and again, until eternity itself tired of watching. Call it madness, call it folly, call it ruin if you will. I call it love—and love, in its finest form, is always worth crawling for.

If you know what Elftown was, you’re already among family....
